Mustangs have four homers in win over South Tama

LE GRAND - Class 3A No. 6 East Marshall had four home runs in an 11-1 win over South Tama in NICL West softball on Friday.

Callie Roseland hit a grand slam for the Mustangs (5-0, 2-0) in the five-inning contest, while Katie Roseland, Taylor Fricke and Ashley Allen also had round-trippers.

Haley Long allowed one run on two hits and struck out three for East Marshall.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck 14, Grundy Center 1, 5 innings

GRUNDY CENTER - Kayla Holbach finished with three hits and three RBIs as the Rebels defeated the host Spartans.

Taylor Flamme also drove in three runs, while winning pitcher Paige Thompson and Kristen Tessau both had two hits and two RBIs for Gladbrook-Reinbeck (2-1, 1-1).

The Rebels host the G-R tournament today in Gladbrook starting at 9:30 a.m.

North Tama 13, Janesville 2

JANESVILLE - Allison Zobel, Sam Zobel and Sarah Howard each drove in three runs as North Tama claimed a 13-2 win over Janesville in Iowa Star Conference softball on Wednesday.
