Miller principal named

The Marshalltown Community School District announced this morning that Jacy Large will take the reins as principal at Miller Middle School beginning July 1.

Large is currently director of Support Services for Ankeny Community School District, a position he's held since 2009. Previously he was a high school and middle school principal in the South Hamilton School District in Jewel, Iowa. He also taught in Southeast Polk and Forest City school districts in Iowa and in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The district also announced Matthew Cretsinger will be the next district Director of Special Services starting July 1.

Cretsinger is currently Program Assistant for Special Education at Heartland Area Education Agency 11, where he has also worked as Team Leader for Behavioral Supports. He is also an adjunct instructor for the School of Education with Upper Iowa University.
