Marshalltown High School junior midfielder Megan Major has been named to the all-CIML Iowa Conference girls' soccer second team, as voted by the league's coaches.
Major finished the season with one goal and two assists in 16 games for the Bobcats, who went 3-15 overall and 0-5 in CIML Iowa play. She was Marshalltown's only representative on the first or second team.
Gaining honorable mention for the Bobcats were Morgan Gardalen, Molly Major, Lexi Vaughn, Taylor Vaudt, Brittany Waldron and Ashtyn Boland.
On the boys' side, MHS head coach Creighton Jenness was voted the conference's Coach of the Year, but the Bobcats came up empty on the 13-player first-team selection. No second team or honorable mention were released.
The Bobcat boys finished the season 13-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play, good for fourth in the league standings.
