Funeral services for Lester L. Benda, 76, of Marshalltown, were held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Marshall officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Center School Cemetery with Full Military Honors by the American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Harry C. Harter Post #839. Pallbearers were Derek Williams, Brenton Sielaff, Trevor Sielaff, Randy Benda, Gary Lamparek and Raymond Meling. Honorary Pallbearers were Landon Stanley, Jarrett Williams and Samuel Sielaff.
Groups from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #839 and American Legion Post #46 were in attendance.
The Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with his arrangements.
