A dive team recovered the body of a 10-year-old Marshalltown boy who went missing at the Iowa River Monday night near the Center Street Dam.
According to the Marshalltown Police Department, a body was found near the east side of the bridge shortly after 10 a.m. this morning. Police released the name of the victim Tuesday afternoon - Andres Favela.
The Marshalltown Fire Department and Story County Sheriff's Office Dive Team, along with various local volunteers, assisted at the scene.

Search and rescue crews from the Story County Sheriff’s Office search the Iowa River up and down Tuesday morning just near the Center Street Dam. The crews were trying to locate a 10-year-old Marshalltown boy after he was reportedly taken under water and never surfaced Monday evening. Divers recovered a his body shortly after 10 a.m. A name has not yet been released.
