PREP BASEBALL: East Marshall runs past South Hardin in league play

GILMAN - Sophomore Zach Rubenbauer finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs as the East Marshall baseball team was an 8-1 winner over South Hardin on Thursday.

The NICL West victory for the Mustangs moves them to 16-7 overall and 9-2 in the conference.

Jake Weatherman went five innings on the mound for the win, allowing one run on four hits.

Lance Steward had two RBIs for East Marshall and Dalton Beadle added an RBI. Dakotah Wolken and Josh Wilson scored two runs apiece. Wolken also had four stolen bases to bring his conference-leading total to 23.

The Mustangs are at the Centerville tournament tonight and Saturday. East Marshall faces the host Big Reds tonight at 6 p.m. and has a pair of games on Saturday.
