Frances Holm, 93, of Marshalltown, died Monday morning, June 25, 2012, at the Villa del Sol. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Lothe of the Hope United Methodist Church officiating. Frances was born in State Center, the daughter of Earnest and Minnie Goecke. She graduated from the State Center High School in 1937 and attended Central Iowa Business College. Frances was a bookkeeper.
On March 22, 1941, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Holm. He died on Jan. 1, 1989. She was a charter member of the Elks Ladies and a member of the American Legion. Frances was employed at farm stores, Fidelity Bank in Marshalltown and the First National Bank in Florida. In retirement, she was a vendor selling antiques in Grinnell and Rochester, Minn.

She is survived by three children: Sally, of Las Vegas, Sandra, of Parkville, Mo., and Michael, of State Center; seven grandchildren: Amy, Jessica, Jeffery, Sarah, Benjamin, Alexander and Micaela and three great-grandchildren: Oliver, Von and Harper.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, infant son, three brothers and three sisters.
