Three local residents have been arrested in connection with a burglary earlier this month.
Leonard Scott, 24, Moriah Manecke, 24, and Jeremy Waltemeyer, 31, are all charged with possession of stolen property, a Class D felony, Capt. Mike Hanken, of the Marshalltown Police Department, said.
Waltemeyer's arrest came Tuesday morning, less than 24 hours after police arrested Scott and Manecke in connection with a June 17 theft at a home on North First Avenue.

Upon obtaining a search warrant, police recovered several items from Scott and Manceke's garage on West Lincoln Street including: an air conditioner, stereo cables, a mattress and boxspring and a computer. They later recovered the remaining items - which, including the items from the couple's garage, totaled more than $4,000 - from Waltemeyer, Hanken said.
He said eyewitnesses spotted the trio at the home late on the evening of June 17. However, since police were unable to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they committed the burglary, they could not charge the trio with the crime.
Hanken declined to comment on the nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspects.
All the items were returned to the victim.
