VAN HORNE - Taylor Wagner collected six hits over two games as Marshalltown swept Benton in a doubleheader Wednesday night.
The Bobcats prevailed 11-1 in the opener and 9-5 in the nightcap.
Wagner went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles in game one before turning in a 2-for-2 performance with one double in the second contest.
Lauren Mazour allowed five hits and no earned runs while striking out four from the circle to earn the game one victory. Taylor Vaske gave up three earned and struck out three to win game two.
Madi Bellile, Cassidy Blackford and Emily DeVenney each had two hits in game one while Maddison Wignall had two RBIs.
Blackford drove in two and had a double in the nightcap while Mazour had two hits and an RBI. Mazour also had a double in the opener.
The Bobcats (15-17) host Mason City tonight in their final conference home game for Senior Night.
Marshalltown follows with a four-game weekend at the Iowa City West Rick Doran Classic on Friday and Saturday.
