The town of Montour is under a boil advisory, due a drop in pressure of the water main after unauthorized use of the water system.
Samples of the water are being tested and the earliest the advisory is expected to be lifted is Wednesday morning.
Residents of the town are asked to boil water before consumption, but they can bathe and shower in the water.
