Marshall County under burn ban

The Iowa State Fire Marshal's Office has issued an open burn ban for Marshall County due to extremely dry conditions.

According to Kim Elder, Marshall County Emergency Management director, all of the county's 13 fire chiefs came to a consensus and voted for the open burn ban, and it was approved by the state fire marshal Wednesday morning.
