The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1113 May St. at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday night. Upon arrival, crews found smoke and fire coming from the one-story home. Crews extinguished the fire and the loss to the home is estimated at $20,000.
A search of the home was successful in finding two cats and two dogs. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Read more about the fire in Thursday's Times-Republican.
