Incidents

On Sunday, Jonathan Davis, 5 E. Grant St. Apt. #1, reported damage to a Goodyear tire on a vehicle while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $150.

On Saturday, Zachary Braze Miller, 608 E. State St., reported the theft of a Vella dirt bike from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $400.

On Friday, Jeanett Cruz, East Olive Street, reported damage to the left front tire and both rear tires on a 1999 Cadillac Catera while parked at 107 S. 4th St., and the theft of the Iowa rear license plate. Estimated value of loss was $155.

On July 19, Michael Buchanan, of Gilman, reported the theft of a Huawai cell phone. Estimated value of loss was $200.

On July 19, an employee at Dollar General, 408 S. 9th St., reported damage to a glass door at the business and the theft of Bud Lite. Estimated value of loss was $238.

On July 2, Natalie Michelle Blubaugh, 12 N. 10th St., reported the theft of a Mongoose bicycle from 1705 Olson Way. Estimated value of loss was $150.

On Tuesday, Timothy Steinle, of Butterfield, Minn., reported the theft of a Nikon D7000 digital SL camera and a Nikon SD9300 Coolpix camera from a vehicle while parked at 2900 S. Center St. Estimated value of loss was $2,300.

On Sunday, Glenn Michael Patterson, 609 E. Main St., reported the theft of 130 Methadone pills and 25 Paxil pills from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $150.

Citations

On Sunday, Angie Quesada, 1112 Bromley St., was cited for serious assault.

On Sunday, Dusty Sivilay Savatdy, 919 N. 5th Ave., was cited for throwing missiles.

On July 11, a juvenile male from Marshalltown was cited for fireworks.

On Monday, July 2, a juvenile male from Marshalltown was cited for theft, fifth degree.

Arrests

On Friday, Juan Humberto Gonzalez, 105 N. Center St. Apt. #6, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (marijuana) with the intent to deliver.

On Friday, Victor Hugo Feliz, 207 S. 8th St., was arrested for simple assault.

On Monday, Curtiss Gerald Fogt, 209 Rainbow Drive, was arrested for public intoxication.

On Sunday, Joseph Albert Zein, 514 E. Olive St. Apt. #402, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, first offense.

On Sunday, Michael Andrew Parkin, 310 S. 2nd St., was arrested for felony domestic assault.

On Friday, Juan Humberto Gonzalez, 105 N. Center St. Apt. #6, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (marijuana) with the intent to deliver.

Accidents

On Friday, a motorcycle driven by James Christopher Lavender, 710 E. State St. (Half), was westbound on East Nevada Street when, in an attempt to go around a white truck in the turning lane immediately before a curve in the road, it went out of control on the curve and crashed. Lavender was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with injuries and later life-flighted to Mercy Hospital were he died the following day. Damage to the Lavender motorcycle was estimated at $6,000.

On July 11, a pickup driven by Jeremiah Joseph Lamey, of Dubuque, was southbound on Highway 14 when it attempted to turn left onto Iowa Avenue West and collided with a motorcycle driven by Donald Frederick Bryant, 209 E. South St., which was traveling north through the intersection. Bryant was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with injuries. Lamey was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. Damage to the Lamey pickup was estimated at $800 while the Bryant motorcycle received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

On Monday, a pickup driven by Jacob Robert Walters, of Clarinda, was northbound on North Third Avenue when it entered the intersection with Riverside Street on a red light and collided with a car driven by Maria Isabel Acosta Ramirez, 718 N. 5th Ave., which was eastbound on Riverside with a green light. Acosta Ramirez was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with injuries. Walters was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Damage to the Walters pickup was estimated at $2,500 while the Acosta Ramirez car received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

Arrests

On Friday, Larry David Rogers, 207 E. Webster St. Apt. #1, and of Conrad, was arrested for criminal mischief, fifth degree.

On July 19, Lee Robert Blouin, 3 N. 9th St., was arrested for child endangerment.

On July 19, Kerry Brandon Logan, 408 W. High St. Lot #18, and 202 N. 2nd Ave., was arrested on a warrant for fraudulent practices, second degree.

On July 19, Pamela Kay Wilson, of Albion, was arrested for serious domestic assault.

On July 17, Samantha Nichole Daggett, 811 W. Nevada St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of prescription drug.

On June 27, Casey Eugene Sheriff, 312 E. Boone St., was arrested for probation violation.

Accidents

On Monday, July 23, a pickup driven by James Orville Gilbert, of Toledo, was eastbound on 260th Street when it struck a cow belonging to Floyd Eugene Mayer which had entered the roadway killing it. Damage to the Gilbert pickup was estimated at $1,500.
