I drove to downtown via West Main Street late Thursday morning (the day after RAGBRAI). If I had not known that RAGBRAI went through Marshalltown Wednesday and early Thursday morning, I could not tell it by viewing Main Street. Main Street and the terraces were spotless and the lawn around the courthouse was also very clean. I know that much garbage accumulated Wednesday and early Thursday, and garage does not magically disappear. Congrats to the RAGBRAI committee and all the volunteers who saw to it that the downtown was clean Thursday morning.
