Albion goes without water for two hours

Albion residents were without water for approximately two hours Friday night when repairs were needed after a water main break.

Water was turned off after 6 p.m. as crews worked to find the source of the leak, which was causing water to surface in the town. They eventually dug and found the leak and it was repaired, according to Robert Abrahams, an Albion City Council member.

"We've had this a number of times as other small towns do when you are working with aging pipes," Abrahams said.

He said reports of a boil order in place after the water was back on were incorrect.
