The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation due to malfunction at 134 E. Main St., a power line down at 110 S. 2nd St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1108 W. Iowa Ave., 2500 S. Center St. and 205 N. 5th St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1400 S. 18th Ave., 2405 S. Center St., 107 N. Center St. and 303 Nicholas Drive.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an arc, shorted electrical equipment at 404 N. 13th Ave., a building fire at 402 N. 10th Ave., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 2000 235th St. and 21 medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1108 Iowa Ave., 209 N. 1st Ave., 600 Woodland St., 712 Jerome St., 212 N. 21st St., 1509 Marion St., 807 May St., 22 N. 1st Ave., 11 N. 3rd Ave., 1512 N. Center St., 300 N. 3rd Ave., 212 N. 21st St., 1 W. Main St., 1509 E. Marion St., 907 W. Nevada St., 202 N. 2nd Ave., 900 S. 3rd Ave., 300 E. State St., 300 Woodland St., 10 S. 1st Ave. and 1312 Summit St.
Marshalltown Police Department
On Tuesday, a minivan driven by William Mark Krough, 105 N. Center St. Apt. #4, was southbound through the alley east of the 100 block of North Center Street when it entered into the alley intersection and, due to the lack of visibility caused by a building, it collided with the side of a bicycle riden by Diamond Lenae Lewis, 308 E. Boone St. Apt. #8, which was traveling west through the alley. Lewis was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with possible injuries. Krough was cited for driving under suspension and no insurance.
On Thursday, a person associated with the Iowa River Off Highway Vehicle Club, 1800 Marion St., reported spray paint damage to a bathroom in the park. Estimated value of damage was $200.
On Thursday, Dianne Elaine Reeves, of Albion, reported hit and run damage to the right rear quarter panel on a Buick LaCrosse while parked at the corner of Third Avenue and Linn Street. Estimated value of damage was $300.
On Wednesday, Lindsey Ricken, 2102 Edgebrook Drive, reported damage to a tire on a 2000 Dodge Neon and two tires on a 2001 Chevy Impala while parked at her residence. Estimated value of loss was $125 on the Neon and $250 on the Impala.
On Thursday, Jesus Acevedo, 201 S. 2nd St.(Lower), was arrested for public intoxication.
