Incidents

On Sunday, Amy Lynn Sedlacek, 1103 S. 3rd Ave., reported the theft of a Chevy Trailblazer from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $12,000.

On Thursday, an employee with Walmart, 2802 S. Center St., reported hit and run damage to a bicycle by a Toyota Sienna. Estimated value of damage was $200.

On Monday, Francisco Barajas, 407 W. Main St. Apt. #206, reported damage to the windshield and driver's side window on a Olds Achieva while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $300.

Citations

On Sunday, Cipriano Andrade-Avalos, 615 W. Linn St., was cited for public urination.

On Saturday, Juna Parra-Avalos, 502 N. 3rd St., was cited for dog at large.

On Saturday, Stephanie Morgan Webber, 306 1/2 Bromley St., was cited for theft, third degree enhanced from Walmart.

On Saturday, Lorcena Elizabeth Ramirez-Rodriguez, 108 NewCastle Road, was cited for being in the park after hours.

On Saturday, Francisco A. Laguna, 200 block of North Ninth Street Apt. #9, was cited for being in the park after hours.

On Friday, a male juvenile from Marshalltown was cited for curfew violation.

On Friday, Ranae Lou Wilson, of Schaller, was cited for operating while intoxicated, first offense.

On Friday, Dickie Lee Medhaug Jr., 704 S. 6th St., was cited for serious assault.

On Friday, a juvenile male from Marshalltown was cited for serious assault causing bodily injury.

On Thursday, Stephen Leo Schossow, 707 S. 7th Ave., was cited for driving while barred.

Arrests

On Sunday, Derrick Terrell Morris, 211 S. 3rd St. Apt. #1, was arrested for driving while barred.

On Sunday, Kwand Ayssaan Woods, 411 N. 1st Ave. (Half), was arrested for aggravated domestic assault, obstruction of emergency communications and two counts of neglect of a dependent person.

On Sunday, Arturo Cervantes Cruz, 1806 S. 5th St. Apt. B, was arrested for burglary, second degree.

On Sunday, Byron Wayne Langland, 101 W. Meadow Lane Place, was arrested for driving while barred.

On Saturday, Christopher Duane Cebrun, of the House of Compassion, was arrested for trespass.

On Friday, Samantha Rachelle Sumpter, 703 S. 12th Ave. Apt. #3, was arrested for harassment, third degree.

On Friday, Ranae Lou Wilson, 1412 W. Church St., was arrested for driving under the influence.

On Friday, a juvenile male from Marshalltown was arrested for serious assault.

On Thursday, July 26, Stephen Leo Schossow, 707 S. 7th Ave., was arrested for driving while barred.

Monday

Stephanie M. Estrada, 311 N. 3rd Ave., made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $195, due immediately.

Jeremy Gartin, 502 N. 4th Ave., made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The scheduling hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 6. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

Joseph Ashby, 104 E. Lincoln St., made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a speeding charge. The no insurance charge was dismissed by the court with court costs of $60, due immediately assessed. He pleaded not guilty to the speeding charge and a pre-trial conference was set for 9 a.m. Sept. 4.

Dickie Lee Medhaug Jr., 704 S. 6th St., made an initial appearance on a serious assault charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 20. Medhaug was released on his own recognizance.

Alejandra Castillo-Hernandez, 404 N. 11th Ave., made an initial appearance on a speeding charge, a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded not guilty to all charges and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 4.

Florita Castellanos, 109 N. 5th Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due immediately.

Vicki Marcene Cox, of Gilman, made an initial appearance on a failure to stop within a safe, assured distance charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Danny Darrow, of Melbourne, made an initial appearance on a public consumption charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Justin Reese, 2228 Knapp Ave., made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief, fifth degree charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Sunday

Arturo Cervantes Cruz, 1806 S. 5th St., made an initial appearance on a burglary, second degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 8. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Christopher Duane Cebrun, of House of Compassion, made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due immediately.

Husein Muwonge, 1401 S. 17th Ave. Apt. #18, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Jessica Buschbom, of St. Anthony, made an initial appearance on a serious assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 20. Buschbom was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact the department within 24 hours. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Parnell Roberts, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Derrick Morris, 211 S. 3rd St. Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle he case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 20. Morris was released on his own recognizance.

Nancy Avila, 306 Woodbury St., made an initial appearance on a pre-trial violation charge. The court appointed Laura Sopher, previously appointed, to handle this case as well. The trial remains scheduled as docketed. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Audriana Padilla, 202 S. 3rd Ave. Apt. #3, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Kwand Ayssaan Woods, 411 N. 1st Ave., made an initial appearance on two counts of a neglect of a dependent person charge, an aggravated domestic assault charge and a obstruction of emergency communications charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 8. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety and then upon release he is to report to the Department of Correctional Services.
