Hyde joins Times-Republican

Troy Hyde has been named the new assistant sports editor at the Times-Republican. He is originally from Earlham, Iowa and graduated from Grand View University in 2003 with degrees in journalism and mass communication.

He began his journalism career at the Dallas County News, Inc. in Adel in 2003 and has also worked in West Texas, Southeast Missouri and spent nearly three years at the Newton Daily News. He most recently worked in sales in Des Moines before returning to the newspaper field on Aug. 1.

Tyrrell hired at SagePoint Financial

Kileen Rezac of SagePoint Financial, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Adam Tyrrell as a registered representative. Tyrrell has recently relocated from Manchester where he was a registered representative with Broker Dealer Financial Services Corp. Throughout his 16 years of financial advisor experience his main focus has been getting to know his clients and helping them achieve their goals. Mason promoted to marketing manager

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced Kristine Mason, a Marshalltown native and Marshalltown High School graduate, has been promoted to marketing manager. Mason's duties include overseeing the marketing strategies for the education program and national convention.

After graduating from Loras College, Mason became the assistant sports information director for the institution and then moved to the NSCAA - where she had interned previously - as marketing and events coordinator. Mason also initiated an internship program which has grown to seven full-time interns.
