Services have been planned in memory of Marshalltown Mayor Gene Beach, who died last Saturday.
The family will be available to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Martha Ellen Tye Playhouse. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. this Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
The Marshalltown School Board has canceled its meeting for Monday night. The board president, Kay Beach, is the wife of Gene.
