FOX Engineering welcomes Mike Fields

FOX Engineering Associates, Inc. of Ames, is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Fields to the firm. Fields brings more than 40 years of wastewater and collections system experience, as the former director of Water Pollution Control for the city of Marshalltown.

Fields is skilled in wastewater treatment operations and management as well as contract and construction management. He recently completed a $3 million sewer rehabilitation project with Marshalltown.

He is a longtime member of the Water Environment Federation, past president and active member of the Iowa Water Environment Association and a member of the Marshalltown Matins Kiwanis Club.

Fields and his wife, Wendy, reside in Marshalltown. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their two grown children.

Bickford hires Community Relations Director

Bickford of Marshalltown has hired Lisa Purvis as the community relations director of the Marshalltown branch.

"We are delighted that Lisa has agreed to join us," Debby Cooper, director for Bickford of Marshalltown, said. "Lisa's background and experience is perfectly suited to help drive the sales and marketing strategies at Bickford. More importantly, she has a passion for helping people through life's challenges."

Purvis has more than 10 years of experience in marketing, operations and community development. She has held senior management positions at organizations in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota. Purvis was previously the director of marketing and legislative liaison with the Iowa Veterans Home.

Bickford of Marshalltown is a 38-apartment assisted living facility, offering private studios and one-bedroom apartments. This active community features three meals per day, beautiful common areas, scheduled activities and certified caregivers.
