A Memorial Service for Virgil St. John, 86, of Marshalltown, was held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Dick Sipe officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery with Full Military Honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Harry C. Harter Post #839 and the American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #46.
Groups from the First Baptist Church, Iowa River Hospice, Grandview Heights, Veterans of Foreign Wars Harry C. Harter Post #939, American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 and Marshalltown Class of 1945 were in attendance.
The Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with his arrangements.
