In the Aug. 22 Times-Republican, I read with great interest Robert Lemke's letter which explains very well about saving Social Security and not to vote for Romney-Ryan, or other Republicans who never voted for Social Security and Medicare. So, obviously, they can't/won't save Social Security and Medicare, but instead, they destroy these two vital programs, which are not gifts from government, but are the earned right of workers who put their earned money into the Social Security Trust Fund. Medicare Part B is paid for by Medicare beneficiaries and after Medicare pays its share, the beneficiaries pay the rest. So what is free here? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Republican's voucher system, is dead wrong because it pays only a small portion of the premium for private insurance, which is a lot more costly than Medicare. So, voters should wake-up, realize these real facts and vote out all Republicans in November 2012.
