PHILADELPHIA - Northern Iowa redshirt freshman quarterback Sawyer Kollmorgen has been chosen as one of five The Sports Network FCS National Players of the Week.
Kollmorgen also was selected as the co-Freshman of the Week, going 18-for-34 for 265 passing yards and three touchdowns in his collegiate debut Saturday at Wisconsin. The Panthers lost 26-21.
Kollmorgan became just the fifth freshman in Northern Iowa history to start at quarterback.
