DES MOINES - Ten different players recorded a kill as the Marshalltown volleyball team trounced Des Moines Hoover, 25-10, 25-8, 25-16, on Tuesday night.
The Bobcats (6-6) were led by Miranda Smith's nine kills, Morgan Bellile had seven, and Lauren Mazour added four.
MHS recorded 11 ace serves on 70-of-73 serving, led by Megan Major's 22-for-23, four ace performance. Cheyenne Friest was 12-for-12 with two aces and Rachel Faircloth served 10-for-10.
Setters Madi Bellile and Leiah Paustian had 18 and 10 assists, respectively, and each Bobcat saw considerable playing time.
"It's always good to get some of the girls who have worked so hard in practice good chunks of time on the court," head coach Terri Westendorf said.
The Bobcats are back in action next Tuesday when they host Southeast Polk.
