Stretches of road on Lincolnway and South Sixth Street will see work done on an asphalt project in two steps beginning Saturday.
Cessford Construction Company, out of Le Grand, will mill one block west and south to the railroad tracks and from Player Street to South Third Street.
Crews are scheduled to start asphalt overlay Monday following Saturday's milling. They will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.
John Martenson, estimator and sales representative for Cessford Construction Company, said roads will not be closed, but may go down to one lane during construction.
He warned drivers that there will be a lot of large construction equipment and workers in the street.
"If you need to be in that area, just take extra time and be careful," he said.
The mill and overlay will not affect garbage pickup.
Should rain preclude construction, crews will resume the following day, but will not work Sunday.
The company asks that, once milling on the street begins, residents do not park on the street until the overlay has been placed.
