Kerry Logan, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to file written arraignment charge. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 20. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
Jeramy Brown, 2266 Sand Rd., made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated charge, a driving while revoked charge and a failure to obey a traffic control device charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 2. Brown was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that he obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days.
Derick Bear, 312 N. 8th Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Bear will hire his own attorney to represent him in the matter before the court. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 16. Bear was released on his own recognizance.
Marshalltown Police Department
On Sept. 5, Erick Nunez-Mancera, 105 N. 7th St., reported hit and run damage to the driver's side of a 2001 Ford F150 pickup while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $800.
On Sept. 5, a male juvenile from Marshalltown was cited for theft fifth-degree of a bicycle that was parked at Miller Middle School.
