Melissa Marie Fry, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #16, made an initial appearance on a loud noises charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50, due immediately.

Danny Doty, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a felony domestic assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 24. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party. It was further ordered that if Doty possessed any firearms or ammunition that he make arrangements to turn them over to the Marshall County Sheriff.

Megan Kutzner, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for sentencing on a child endangerment charge and a probation violation charge. Attorney Tom Hillers will represent her in the failure to appear charge while the public defender's office was appointed to handle the probation violation charge. The sentencing hearing and the probation revocation hearing will be heard simultaneously at 9 a.m. on Oct. 3. Bond was set at $2,500 cash only on the failure to appear charge and at $5,000 cash or surety on the probation violation charge.

Travis Feeback, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a first-degree harassment charge and a criminal mischief fourth-degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 24. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party. The court ordered that if Feeback possess any firearms or ammunition that it be turned over to the Marshall County Sheriff.

Tracy Reed, 104 W. Church St., made an initial appearance on a failure to stop within a safe assured distance charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately.

Luis Ramirez, 307 E. Harrison Dr. Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately. The judge condemned the posted bond to cover pay the fine with the remainder to be returned to Ramirez.

Incidents

On Sept. 12, Terry Collins, of Gilman, reported damage to a building at 118 N. Main St. Estimated value of damage was $100.

Arrests

On Sept. 12, Kerry Brandon Logan, 408 W. High St. Lot #18, was arrested for failure to appear.

On Sept. 11, Justin James Holder, 2 E. Edgeland Dr. Apt. #5, was arrested for pre-trial violation.

On Sept. 11, Danny Triplett, 511 W. State St. Apt. #5, was arrested for pre-trial violation.

Accidents

On Sept. 11, a car driven by Deeann Sue Hon, of Le Grand, was eastbound on 190th Street approaching the intersection with Lafayette Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the traveled portion of the roadway causing extensive damage to the windshield, hood, fender and a headlight. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hon car was estimated at $3,000.

On Sept. 8, a car driven by Esther Marie Blythe, of Bonita Springs, Fla., was northbound on Sanford Avenue approaching the intersection with 130th Street when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Israel Moreno, of Eldora, which was stopped at the stop sign. Blythe and a passenger, Ludivina Moreno, 1314 Oaks Ave., were transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with injuries while Israel Moreno was possibly injured, but not transported. Blythe was cited for following too closely. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $6,000 each.
