CLINTON - Mady Van Metre had 12 kills, Ashley Salgado had 19 digs and Tanya Literski added 37 assists Wednesday to lead the MCC volleyball team to a three-game sweep of Clinton Community College.

The Tigers won 25-12, 25-14, 25-16.

"We are playing a lot more consistent," MCC coach Chris Brees said. "Clinton is a team on paper that we should beat, and it was nice to win one of those."

MCC finished with 14 aces, led by Sam Oujiri's 10 aces. Breanna Cortez finished with eight kills, Katelyn Yauslin added seven kills and Alyssa Whitmore finished with 10 digs.

The Tigers have won two straight matches and are now 4-12 on the season. MCC travels to the Harper College Tournament this weekend. The Tigers will face Illnois Valley at 2 p.m. Saturday.
