On Wednesday, a Marshalltown male juvenile was arrested for simple assault and serious assault.
On Wednesday, Michael Ray Meeker, 1108 W. Iowa Ave. #14, was arrested for public intoxication.
On Wednesday, Cory Marvin Baker, 1014 S. 6th St., was arrested for failure to comply with the sex offender registry, first offense.
On Wednesday, Jason Wayne Mull, 501 S. 6th St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Tuesday, Adam Scott Leiva, 108 1/2 S. 3rd St., was arrested for serious assault.
On Wednesday, a pickup driven by a female juvenile from Marshalltown was westbound in the inside lane of East Meadow Lane when it attempted to change lanes and collided with a minivan driven by Deborah Lee Carpenter, 312 W. High St. Lot #1, which was also traveling west in the outside lane. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for turning from improper lane. Damage to the pickup was estimated at $1,000 while the Carpenter minivan received an estimated $2,000 in damage.
On Sept. 5, a minivan driven by Joshua Allen Dean, of Brooklyn, was westbound on Marion Street and attempted to turn south onto 10th Avenue when it turned in front of and collided with a car driven by Luis Adan Zavala Franco, 514 N. 1st St., which was traveling east on Marion Street. No injuries were reported. Dean was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. Damage to the Dean minivan was estimated at $4,000 while the Zavala Franco car received an estimated $8,000 in damage.
On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Brandon Michael Pinney, 104 N. 13th St., was exiting a private driveway when it collided with the side of a vehicle driven by Marvin Duane Borton, 403 W. Nevada St., which was southbound on North 13th Street. No injuries were reported. Pinney was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway. Damage to the Pinney pickup was estimated at $2,500 while the Borton vehicle received an estimated $250 in damage.
On Sept. 5, a semi driven by Jacob Dean Schriever, of Floyd, was eastbound on Marion Street at 18th Avenue when it attempted to back up to allow a non-contact semi to turn from 18th Avenue onto Marion Street and collided with the front end of a car driven by Dwight William Martin, of Gilman, which was stopped behind him. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Martin car was estimated at $3,000.
On Tuesday, Mark Allen Wright, of Roland, reported hit and run damage to the left rear bumper area on a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse while parked in the lot at 10 E. State St. Estimated value of damage was $800.
On Tuesday, an employee with Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, 3 N. 4th Ave., reported hit and run damage to the passenger side door of a vehicle while parked in the McFarland Clinic parking lot. Estimated value of damage was $300.
On Monday, Christina Marie Hiracheta, 1104 Jackson St., reported the theft of 50 state quarters, six rare coins and a Minolta camera with long lens from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $312.50.
On Tuesday, Thomas Maxwell Burns, 2604 Fremont St., was cited for operating while intoxicated, first-offense.

Michael Ray Meeker, 1108 W. Iowa Ave. #14, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due immediately. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Oct. 25 until the debt is completed.
