DAVENPORT - The MCC soccer team got a goal in the 58th minute Saturday and defeated Scott Community College, 2-1, on the road.
Bruno Liozzi put the Tigers up early with a goal in the 31st minute, but Ignacio Alex Bello put the win away when he made it 2-1 in the 58th minute.
"It was a good game," MCC coach Rafael Martinez said. "We dominated the game. Overall, I was pleased with our play."
The Tigers won by one goal but had nine more shots on goal than Scott, which scored its only goal on its only shot on goal.
Liozzi's goal in the first half came on a penalty kick. Scott tied the match two minutes later as it scored off a corner kick.
Alex Bello then put the match away with Joao de Olivera earning the assist.
MCC is now 7-3-1 on the season and 5-2 in ICCAC play. The Tigers next play at 4 p.m. Wednesday against rival NIACC.
