Betty was born October 7, 1926 to Alvin and Ruth (Lawerence) Olson in Fergus Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Joe W. Radcliff in Marshalltown, IA. Betty had many hobbies when she wasn't changing diapers putting on band-aids, keeping the dog in the house, or out, maybe both, cooking meals, taking kids to hospital, sometimes her own and sometimes not. She had many other daily tasks which were so repetitive they seemed like hobbies. She loved chickens, all sorts of sizes, colors, and breeds. She enjoyed them as ceramics, trivets, hen on a basket, and miniatures for shadow boxes. She also enjoyed listening to Marty Robbins anywhere anytime. She loved bowling and crafts spending countless hours doing both. She was very handy with a sewing machine spending lots of time and dedication to the task at hand whether for work or play.
Betty will be missed by her husband of 66 years, Joe, two daughters, Jackie (Sally Schoep) Berry of Marshalltown, Jeri O'Lear of St. Center, IA, two sons, Steve Radcliff of Boehell, WA, Robert "Skeeter" (Becky Hartman) of Marshalltown, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, and a son, Craig Jon.
