Caroline Myers has put an increased emphasis on her school work the last couple of years and her teacher is taking notice.

"She has worked very hard the last couple of years to get where she is academically," said her teacher Shelly Kluver. "She is focused and is becoming a stronger learner every day."

Myers, 10, is a fourth grader at Franklin Elementary School. Kluver said Myers is willing to take on any problem, no matter how hard it is.

"Caroline is a student that will meet any challenge head on and it has had an impact on her learning and others in the classroom," Kluver said.

When she is not hard at work in the classroom, Myers said she loves to sing and would like to grow up and sing professionally.

"I like being in front of people," she said.

Her favorite singer is Rachel from the television show "Glee."
