Visitors to the Senior Citizens Center in Marshalltown take part in a card tournament Monday. The center will host a 40th anniversary open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The center features a wide range of activities including card games, shuffleboard, crafts and sewing. Reeder said they are always open and always welcoming to new visitors.
She expects even more visitors in the next few years as the Baby Boomer population ages.
