Sage Blue knows the importance of school to her future.

"So you can get a good education, go to college and be whatever you want to be when you grow up," said Blue, a fourth grader at Franklin Elementary School.

According to Blue's teacher, Shelly Kluver, the student already has a good foundation for her future.

"Sage is a great leader in our classroom," Kluver said. "She consistently gets her work done and it is always quality work. She is always asking or looking to do extra credit."

Aside from her good work ethic, Blue also has creative talent and loves art.

"You can be creative and do whatever you want," Blue said when asked why she likes art.
