Frederick John Stewart, 86, formerly of Clemons, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, following a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be prior to services on Friday, Nov. 9, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with services Friday at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three children: Mary Lou Stewart, John (Gloria) Stewart and Michael Stewart, all of Marshalltown; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters: Faye Carlson, of Calif., and Fernette Smith, of Marshalltown.
