SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Iowa State women's cross country team repeated as the NCAA Division I Midwest Regional champions, placing its five scoring runners inside the top 30 on Friday at the Missouri State University Golf Course.

Leading the second-ranked Cyclones was Betsy Saina, who claimed the top spot in a time of 19 minutes, 51.46 seconds.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School graduate Taylor Petersen placed 29th for ISU in a time of 21:36.38, though her result did not count toward the Cyclones' final team score.
