LAS VEGAS - Sixth-year senior Jacqui Kalin put the Panthers on her back.

Kalin scored a season-high 28 points to propel the Northern Iowa women's basketball team to a 76-72 victory over North Carolina State, giving the Panthers a win to show for their holiday trip to the SouthPoint Thanksgiving Shootout.

Kalin made eight straight free throws in a little more than the final minute, helping the Panthers (3-3) keep the lead they got when Jess McDowell put them in front with a personal 4-0 run.

McDowell's 3-pointer tied the score at 64-all with 3:41, erasing North Carolina State's five-point lead, and she added a free throw on UNI's next trip up the court to give her team the lead for good.

Hannah Schonhardt also nailed a trey, and Kalin went 4-for-4 at the line inside the final 30 seconds.

Kalin finished 10-for-10 at the charity stripe and hit four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high scoring output. She also had seven assists, no turnovers and three steals as the Panthers rebounded from losses to Arizona State and Florida.
