One person was killed and another severely injured in a plane crash in Tama County this morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA reported that two people were aboard the plane; one was pronounced dead at the scene and another airlifted to a hospital.
The plane was a Taylorcraft BC12, a small single engine plane. The crash occurred northwest of Clutier near the intersection of 245th Street and R Avenue.
