The former KFC building at the corner of Center and Westwood was demolished by crews from Con-Struct. The two-day project took place Wednesday and Thursday. The property is owned by United Bank and Trust, which has a location adjacent to the former KFC building. United Bank President Curt Hoff said it was time for the facility to come down due to its condition. The bank has no immediate plans for use of the property, with possible use in the future.
