DES?MOINES - The Drake women's basketball team will look to avoid starting 0-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference for the first time since 2006-07 when the Bulldogs host rival Indiana State at the Knapp Center tonight.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and the Bulldogs hope home cooking continues as Drake is 28-3 all-time at home against the Sycamores. The Bulldogs have won three straight in the series and eight of the last 10.

The last time Drake lost to Indiana State at home was 2007.

Kyndal Clark leads the Bulldogs (5-8, 0-2) in scoring at 13.3 points per game and has scored in double-figures in 11 of the team's 13 games. Morgan Reid also averages 11 points and eight rebounds per game.

The Bulldogs lost their MVC opener by six to Evansville and most recently lost to Southern Illinois by seven. Indiana State is 1-1 in league play and is coming off a two-point loss to Northern Iowa.

The Sycamores are led by Anna Munn's 15.5 points per game, which ranks third in the league.

Indiana State (9-4) has hung its hat on defense. The Sycamores average less than 60 points per game but are holding conference opponents to 50 points and 36 percent shooting per game while averaging 10 steals as well.

A loss for Drake would be the first 0-3 start in league play in six years when the Bulldogs began the MVC slate 0-7.
