The Marshalltown Men’s Chorus delivered a Singing Valentine to Roxanne Bach last year for Valentine’s Day. The group is once again offering its services for this year on Feb. 14.
For the cost of $25, chorus members will arrive in person to sing two songs and give that special lady a silk rose, a card and a nice memory. Last year, Roxanne Bach of Marshalltown received a Singing Valentine as a way of thanks for helping as a substitute pianist for the group.
"It was really meaningful and very touching," Bach said. "I think it's very fitting for the holiday. It's an honor to have them come by because they are a group with a lot of talent and are great guys."
The event is a fundraiser for the group's events and features old-fashioned sweetheart songs.
"Everyone has a great time with them," chorus member Larry Pfantz said in a previous interview with the Times-Republican.
