He pleaded guilty to the driving under suspension charge and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days. The no insurance charge was dismissed after proof of insurance with court costs of $60 assessed, due within 30 days.
Shannon Annett Arant, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.
Jaylen Celia Sharee Padilla, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two warrants for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury and on a warrant charging domestic abuse assault. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her cases. Bond was set at $1,000 cash only. The cases were sent to another court to schedule further proceedings as their docket permits.

Ashley Sue Clement Ayers, of Fort Dodge, made an initial appearance on a warrant in connection with a burglary-second degree, theft-fourth degree, violation of probation charge and a warrant pertaining to charges of forgery, identity theft, theft-third degree, theft-fifth degree and violation of probation. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her cases before the court. A status hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 1. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

On Monday, Todd Bolar, 103 N .17th St., reported damage to the rear window and brake lights on a 2003 Buick Century while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $400.
On Monday, Juan Nunez, 510 N. 15th Ave., reported damage to a rear door frame at his residence and the theft of two Aspire laptop computers. Estimated value of loss was $550.
On Monday, Quinn Fisher, 206 N. 7th Ave., was arrested for motor vehicle theft.
On Monday, Feliciano Yzquierdo, 708 E. State St., was arrested for theft-fifth degree from K-Mart.
On Monday, Jose Jesus Arredondo-Pizano, 1706 S. 7th Ave. Apt. #4, was arrested for serious domestic abuse assault and obstruction of emergency communications.
On Sunday, a vehicle driven by Lowell Henry Moyer, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #137, was exiting the Kwik Star parking lot onto South Third Avenue when it collided with a pickup driven by Judy Anne Meling, 610 W. Nevada St., which was traveling north on Third Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $500 each.
On Sunday, a pickup driven by Michael Jay Freese, 2206 Gary Court, was traveling east on East Olive Street stopped at the intersection with South Second Avenue when it proceeded into the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven by Larue Kathleen Reis, of Green Mountain, which was attempting to turn left from East Olive onto Second Avenue. No injuries were reported. Freese was cited for failure to obey a stop or yield sign. Damage to the Freese pickup was estimated at $1,000 while the Reis vehicle received an estimated $1,200 in damage.
On Saturday, a vehicle owned by Gerardo Ibarra-Saldana was parked in the JBS Swift parking lot while the owner was at work and upon returning Ibarra-Saldana found hit and run damage to the driver's side door, side mirror, window and front driver's side wheel. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ibarra-Saldana vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
On Friday, a car driven by Jamison Allyn Wyatt, of Montour, was exiting a driveway at 110 N. 4th St., when it slid down the embankment and collided with a fence owned by Marshalltown Parks and Recreation. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wyatt car was estimated at $2,000 while the fence received an estimated $250 in damage.
