Grundy County Sheriff's Office

Arrests

On Wednesday, Daniel Rigdon, age 20, of Waterloo, was arrested in Grundy Center for domestic abuse assault. He was released on promise to appear.

On Wednesday, William Averill, age 33, of Conrad, was arrested at the sheriff's office in Jones County on a warrant charging him with failure to appear. He posted bond and was released.

On Tuesday, Benjamin Bradley, age 33, of Des Moines, was arrested at the sheriff's office on a Bremer County warrant charging him with failure to appear for a prison term. He was released to the Bremer County authorities.

On Tuesday, Ross Onken, age 32, of Reinbeck, was arrested at the sheriff's office and charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on promise to appear.

On Jan. 14, William Stienfeldt, age 65, of Eldora, was arrested at the sheriff's office and charged with theft-fifth degree. He pleaded guilty and was released.

On Jan. 14, Amber Lacoursiere, age 32, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested at the sheriff's office and charged with theft-fifth degree. She pleaded guilty and was released.

On Jan. 14, Adam Strauser, age 28, of St. Paul, Minn., was arrested at the sheriff's office and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and drug tax stamp violation. He posted bond and was released.

Accidents

On Jan. 17, a vehicle driven by Connie Hansen, age 63, of Reinbeck, was eastbound on Highway 175 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hansen vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

On Jan. 11, a vehicle driven by Davis Michaelsen, age 41, of Dike, was southbound on U Avenue at the intersection with 160th Street when it went through the stop sign, entered the ditch, went through the lawn and struck a building. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Michaelsen vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

Marshalltown Fire Department

Jan. 17

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: two at 506 Pleasantview Rd., 1708 S. 6th St., 610 W. State St., and 706 E. Main St.

Jan. 18

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two medical assists with the EMS crew to 1902 S. Center St., and 401 Plaza Heights Rd.

Jan. 19

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1104 Summit St., 101 NewCastle Rd., 1600 Marion St., and 506 Pleasantview Rd.

Jan. 20

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 711 N. 4th Ave., 208 N. 11th Ave., 1002 W. Nevada St., and 504 N. 2nd Ave.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two fire calls to 106 College Dr., and 220 Glenda Dr., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 209 N. 5th Ave., South Center Street and Southridge Road, 809 N. 3rd Ave., and 212 E. State St.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call to 209 S. 4th Ave., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 201 N. 2nd Ave., 305 N. Center St., 1002 W. Nevada St., two to 1301 Summit St., 301 S. 15th Ave., and 202 N. 2nd Ave.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two fire calls to 1301 Summit St., and 606 N. 1st Ave., an incident at South Second Street and West High Street, and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 309 W. Merle Hibbs Boulevard, South Center Street and High Street intersection and 1110 E. Anson St.

Arrests

On Monday, Marsha Ann Lee, of Worthington, was arrested for theft-third degree.

On Jan. 20, Angel Marie White, 403 N. 12th Ave., was arrested for failure to appear.

On Jan. 19, Timothy Daniel Garrett, 406 N. 17th St., was arrested for criminal mischief-fifth degree.

On Jan. 19, Jamie Lee Lopez, 2144 Marsh Ave. Apt. N, was arrested for driving while revoked and speeding.

On Jan. 18, Ashley Sue Clement, of Fort Dodge, was arrested for violation of probation.

On Jan. 18, Krystal Diana Diver, of Muscatine, was arrested for failure to appear.

On Jan. 17, Brian Troy Rahn, of Ferguson, was arrested for failure to serve jail time.

On Wednesday, Michele Lynn Duncan, of Le Grand, was arrested for serious domestic assault.

On Tuesday, Timothy Todd Weese, of Le Grand, was arrested for motor vehicle theft and harassment, general.

On Tuesday, Shawn Alan Housley, of Newton, was arrested for theft-fifth degree.

On Tuesday, Dedrikk Montrel Fisher, of Des Moines, was arrested for assault on a peace officer and others.

On Jan. 20, Ashley Ruth Johnson, of Tama, was arrested for operating-second offense, driving under suspension-non-payment of fines, no insurance and operation without owner's consent.

Accidents

On Monday, a pickup driven by Colleen Ann Roseland, of Gilman, was eastbound on 280th Street, stopped at the intersection with Zeller Avenue and then proceeded to turn left onto Zeller Avenue where it collided with the trailer of a semi driven by Randy Eugene VanGorp, of Grinnell, which was traveling north on Zeller. No injuries were reported. Roseland was cited for failure to obey a stop or yield sign and failure to have a valid driver's license. Damage to the Roseland pickup was estimated at $800 while the VanGorp semi trailer received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
