Cassandra Ann Miller, 1703 Edgebrook Dr. Apt. G-6, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 20. Miller was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered that she obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Corey Michael Ramsey, of Ames, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear charge in a theft-fifth degree case. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $81 in court costs for a total $293.75, due immediately plus restitution if applicable.

Peter Kyaw Thaung, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-second offense charge, a driving under suspension charge and a improper brake lights charge. The preliminary hearing on the operating while intoxicated-second offense charge is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 21. The court continued the other two charges until further order of the court. Thaung was released on his own recognizance. A substance abuse evaluation was ordered with the results to be submitted to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Howard Devall McKinney, address unknown, made an appearance with counsel on a contempt hearing on a violation of a no-contact order. He entered a written plea of guilty. The judge sentenced him to seven days in the Marshall County Jail to be completed by April 1 and to pay court costs and court appointed attorney's fees. The state made the court aware of the protected party's wish to have the no-contact order lifted. There were no objections and the court lifted the no-contact order.

A Marshalltown juvenile male made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for 10 hours of community service in lieu of the fine and surcharge plus to pay the court costs of $60 to be completed by May 1.

Richard Dolan, address unknown, is a juvenile that has been transferred to adult court on a serious domestic assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 21. Dolan was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them by 4:30 p.m. today and comply with all the regulations of pre-trial release. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Jesse Ceniceros, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges. The fines on both charges is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each charge, due immediately.

Stephanie Morgan Webber, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a serious domestic assault charge, a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle the serious domestic assault charge. The preliminary hearing on the serious domestic assault charge is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 11. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order is issued for the protected party. The court ordered that if she possessed any firearms, Webber is to make arrangements with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office to surrender them upon release. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. on March 26 for the driving under suspension and no insurance charges. On these two charges Webber was released on her own recognizance.

Louis Young, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a contempt hearing charge. The previously appointed, Merrill Swartz, will continue handling this case. The contempt hearing is set for 9 a.m. on March 22. Young was released on his own recognizance.

Kathryn Elizabeth Nail, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, an unsafe turn charge, a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty to the first driving under suspension charge, the unsafe turn charge and the no insurance charge. On the driving under suspension and no insurance charges the fines were $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each, due immediately. On the unsafe turn the fine was $100 with a $35 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $195, due immediately. The second driving under suspension charge was dismissed by the court and court costs were waived.

Robert Lee Blouin, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-fourth degree charge, a identity theft charge and a forgery charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 21.

Robert Ray Radcliff, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a improper brake light charge, a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge, a failure to give continuous signal charge and a driving under suspension charge. He pleaded guilty to the improper brake light charge, the first driving under suspension charge and the failure to give a continuous signal charge. The fine on the improper brake light was $30 with a $10.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $100.50, due immediately. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due immediately. The fine on the failure to use continuous signal was $35 with a $12.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $107.25, due immediately. On the second driving under suspension the court dismissed this charge and waived the court costs. On the no insurance charge Radcliff pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 26.
