MCC clubs ABCD Prep Academy

Five players scored in double figures and the Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team cruised to its third straight win, a 100-47 rout of ABCD Prep Basketball Academy Monday at the Student Activity Center.

Chris Caird scored a team-leading 19 points for MCC (18-7) in less than 18 minutes of court time, adding eight rebounds to the cause. Matej Delinac knocked down four 3-pointers and had 16 points to go with six assists and Jamyles Coleman scored 15 points.

Terrell Clyburn tallied 13 points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Jamal Gatali finished with 12 points and seven boards as the Tigers coasted to victory.

MCC outrebounded its guest 52-25 and shot 41-for-78 (53 percent) from the field.

The Tigers bolted to a 54-11 halftime lead, shooting 9-for-21 from 3-point range in the first half alone.

ABCD's Ivan Lukic scored a game-high 21 points to go with nine rebounds.
