MASON CITY - Class 5A's top 3-point shooting team was at it again.

Allison Scott shot 6-for-7 from downtown and scored a game-high 19 points as the sixth-ranked Mohawk girls' basketball team dispatched Marshalltown, 78-38, in a Central Iowa Conference Northern Division finale on Friday night.

"That's what they do, they drive and pass across and shoot the three," Marshalltown coach Tim Johnson said.

Mason City finished 14-for-26 from 3-point range to secure its third win in a row, pulling away from the Bobcats (4-17, 2-4) when the shots started to drop in the second quarter. The Mohawks scored 25 points in the second quarter, 26 more in the third and by that time had pulled out to a 69-29 lead.

MHS senior Lauren Mazour scored a season-high 16 points, while Eisha Oden finished with 11 to lead the Bobcast. Rachel Blagg and Ellyn Boland both contributed four points.

Marshalltown, which finished 0-for-4 from distance, scored a season-high 13 points in the second quarter but was no threat to Mason City.
