Balanced Panther attack too much for Bradley

CEDAR FALLS - Jacqui Kalin led a trio of double-digit scorers with 18 points and four assists as the Northern Iowa women's basketball team rallied from a slow start for a 70-45 victory over Bradley Saturday.

The Braves (10-13, 4-8) scored the first 11 points of the game and led 15-2 when Amber Kirschbaum made the Panthers' first field goal more than eight minutes in to spark a 13-2 run.

UNI (12-12, 7-5) took a 25-21 lead into the break and shot 48 percent in the second half to pull away. Brittni Donaldson added 11 points and six rebounds, while Hannah Schondhardt had 15 points and Jen Keitel grabbed 10 rebounds.

UNI made 13-pointers on 31 attempts, while the Braves shot 17-of-55 (30.9 percent).

Catie O'Leary led Bradley with 12 points.

The Panthers host Creighton Thursday at 7 p.m.
