When 8-year-old Gavin Jablonski isn't at school, he still stays active reading at home. He doesn't want to miss an opportunity to learn.

"I'm interested in learning a lot of stuff," said the second grader at Marshalltown Area Catholic School St. Henry attendance center.

Jablonksi loves reading and math in school and his teacher, Rachel Schoenfelder said she is impressed with how fast he gets to work in school without being prompted.

"He knows what he has to do for his math so he'll get right to work," Schoenfelder said.

His teacher also said he is a very good role model, works very hard and is honest.

"It's wonderful to have him in class and he's very helpful," Schoenfelder said.
