It's become an annual tradition and an enjoyable night out for those looking to put their knowledge to the test.
The third annual trivia night to benefit the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center Foundation will be held at 6 p.m. March 15 at Dejardin Hall on the Marshalltown Community College campus. The night features ten rounds of trivia, food, prizes and fun.
"It's just a fun night out," said Val Ruff, director of the MMSC Foundation. "It's fun for people who like competition and trivia and being with a group of people."

This team really showed off their brain power during last year’s trivia night to benefit the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center Foundation. The 2013 trivia night will be held March 15 at Dejardin Hall on the campus of Marshalltown Community College.
Cost is $160 per team or $20 per person and includes a meal. First prize will be $250 and second place will earn $150.
This year's event will have a special twist as participants can find out if they are smarter than a sixth grader. There will be questions tailored to that age group from school curriculum, and a group of sixth graders from Lenihan Intermediate School have been invited to have a table and compete at the event.
Ruff said this idea stems from the fact in past years participants have complained that the questions have been too hard.
