Two Drake basketballers suspended indefinitely

DES MOINES - Drake men's basketball coach Mark Phelps has announced that senior Matt Bowie and freshman Kori Babineaux have both been suspended indefinitley.

The two Bulldogs violated team rules, according to a Drake press release sent out Tuesday night. The duo will not travel with the team or participate in Wednesday's game against Indiana State.

Babineaux has played in 18 games this year and averages two points and eight minutes per game. He is 16-for-45 from the fioor and pulls down 1.2 rebounds per game.

Bowie has only played in three games this for the Bulldogs, who are 13-15 overall and 6-10 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Bowie has not attempted a shot this year.
